In alignment with this year’s theme, the 2nd year BSN students of CoN, GMU organized a ‘World Kidney Day awareness campaign’ at Acero Building Systems to educate employees about the importance of kidney health and promote equitable access to care. The campaign included various educational activities designed to engage employees and raise awareness about kidney health.
Informative posters highlighting key aspects of kidney health, including risk factors, prevention strategies, and the importance of regular screenings, were displayed throughout the premises. Myth Debunking interactive sessions were conducted to address common misconceptions and myths surrounding kidney health. Employees had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify doubts about kidney-related topics. Short quizzes were administered to test employees’ knowledge about kidney health. Basic kidney health screenings were offered to employees which included blood pressure checks.
The ‘World Kidney Day awareness campaign’ at Acero Building Systems was highly successful, with significant participation from employees. A total of 250 employees attended the sessions, including 70 office employees and 180 production staff members. The engagement and enthusiasm demonstrated by employees during the campaign underscored the importance of raising awareness about kidney health in the workplace. The support and cooperation from ‘Acero Building Systems’ were instrumental in the success of the campaign, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and corporate partners in promoting community health and well-being.
