Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) is an educational approach where students help each other to learn by sharing knowledge. This collaborative space is designed to foster a culture of knowledge sharing, support, and growth among our esteemed medical community.
Peer-Assisted Learning involves students working in pairs or groups, where one student acts as a “peer tutor” and the others as “peer learners.” At Gulf Medical University, Peer Assisted Learning Program offers interactive learning, supportive community and resource materials.

An introductory session of PAL was given to BSN Second Year and BSN First Year on 30th August and 06th September 2024 respectively. Dr. Ramya Ranthan – PAL Coordinator and Hisham Abubacker Musthafa – President of PAL Program oriented the students to the PAL program. The office bearers, supervisors and tutor’s role were explained. Also, the learning resources available in PAL website was also explained.
At the end of the introductory session, the students were encouraged to take the teaching and administrative roles.
