An interprofessional seminar on Diabetic Pharmacotherapy was successfully conducted on 20th February at Thumbay University Hospital, bringing together experts from the College of Medicine, College of Pharmacy, and College of Nursing. The seminar aimed to foster a collaborative learning environment where healthcare professionals from various disciplines could share insights on the management of diabetes, including medication, lifestyle interventions, and emergency management.

The seminar featured distinguished speakers who provided valuable knowledge on different aspects of diabetic care. The session on Diabetic Diet and Lifestyle was delivered by Dr. Jisha Lucca and Dr. Soney Varghese from the College of Nursing, while the discussion on Managing Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) was led by Dr. Ahmad El Ouweini and Dr. Sija Binoy. The seminar proved to be highly enlightening and informative, offering a comprehensive overview of contemporary practices in diabetic management.

The interaction between physicians, pharmacists, and nurses underscored the need for a team-based approach to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
