Healthcare Simulation Day was celebrated on 14th September, 2021 in Gulf Medical University in the Centre for Simulation and Health Care(CASH) facility. Faculty and students of College of Nursing enthusiastically participated in the event. Simulation is utilized in the medical profession to improve learning about safety, and efficiency of healthcare delivery.
The simulators available were Body Interact, CPR Kiosk, Lucina, Lapsim and Mentice. The students and faculty had the opportunity of demonstrations of the functions of the simulators but also to get familiarized with these simulators with hands on practice using clinical scenarios.. The opportunity of making it competitive with scoring each event excited the students to perform well and learn together. The event not only brought excitement but also gave the opportunity for students to learn together from students from all disciplines.
