Health Camp in East Point Indian International School, Ajman

On 3rd April 2024, a Health Camp was organized by College of Nursing in East Point Indian International School, Ajman. Faculty (Dr. Sija Binoy) and BSN students of Semester 7, Year 4, (Ms. Andleeb Syed Muhammed Yosuf and Ms. Akinrinlola Gbemisola Anita) from the College of Nursing participated in this Mega event from 09.00 am to 01.00 pm. They were involved in Health Screening which involved in Health education, Calculating BMI and Glucose monitoring of the school teachers, administrative staff, housekeeping staff and also parents for further consultation and investigations. A total of 150 people benefited from the Health Camp. The experience excited the students as it was great learning experience in serving the community. The students were provided with certification for their participation and support in the event.

Another attraction of the Health camp was “Balanced Diet & Healthy Living” station organized by College of Nursing Faculty (Ms. Remya Pillai) and First-year students as a part of community engagement program on 3rd April 2024 along with College of Medicine at East Point Indian International School, Ajman.

The teachers, students and staff of East Point Indian International School were involved through interactive musical games, including the stop-dance game, Food pyramid game, Kahoot quiz and #MyPlate Pledge. The participants not only learned about balanced diets and essential nutrients but also actively engaged in physical activity and friendly competition. The event concluded successfully with around 50 Faculty, Staff and Students attended the program.
