Faculty Development Program – Data Analysis and Interpretation

On April 8th 2021 at 2:30 pm, Prof. Jayadevan Sreedharan, Professor of Epidemiology & Biostatistics Program Director – Master in Public Health (MPH), conducted a Staff Development Workshop titled “Data Analysis and Interpretation’’ for the College of Nursing Faculty to enhance their ability to guide students and use in their own research on Analysis of Data collected in a Research.

The Workshop included small group activities on ‘’ How to critique a Scientific Paper’’.  The faculty were divided into three groups, each group critiqued one research paper.

Through the Group discussion, Dr. Jayadevan explained to CON faculty in details about: Data Analysis,    Variables, Standard Deviation and Error, Power of the study, Tool validation & reliability,    Normalcy of data.

The session was extremely beneficial and brought the insight of various steps involved in analysis of a data and the right interpretation of the results.
