The B.Sc Nursing students of Year III and IV had provided volunteering services in the Thumbay University Hospital during the Covid-19 Pandemic crisis last summer. The students took the initiative to care for patients who were transferred into the long term care from the MOH and other patients along with the faculty for 2 months and helped in stream lining nursing care in the early days of functioning of the TUH. The services provided by the students was recognized and well appreciated by Gulf Medical University and Thumbay University Hospital and acknowledged with a certificate of appreciation.
The certificate was awarded by Prof Hossam Hamdy, Chancellor, Dr. Fozi Abozaid Dakilah, Medical Director, Ms. Nancy Justina Mendonca, Group CNO and Dr. Selva Titus Chacko, Dean.
