Career Advising Session Series: Introduction to E-Portfolio

As a continuation of series of career counselling sessions conducted by the College of Medicine, a session on E-Portfolio was held on 25 February to benefit MBBS students at the College of Medicine. Over 85 students attended the session, and it highlighted the importance of developing and maintaining a robust e-portfolio in pursuit of their future careers. The session’s highlight was the students identified themselves in their future roles of a medical expert, a scholar, a health advocator, an effective communicator, a manager and an able professional.

The session explained the various domains of the e-portfolio and the pieces of evidence they could use to build it. The importance of reflection on their experiences was highlighted in the session. They were delighted with the session and were encouraged to start building their portfolio, which the faculty would then review, and faculty will then provide feedback. It was a fruitful session for all the attendees, and the students wished to have similar sessions in future.
