Thumbay University Hospital, Ajman is a 350 bedded and the main teaching hospital of Gulf Medical University. It is also recognized by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, UAE, for internship training.
Our other affiliated clinical training sites include Thumbay Hospital, Ajman, Rashid Hospital under Dubai Health Authority, Primary Health Care Centres under Dubai Health Authority, Umm Al Quwain Hospital, UAQ and Primary Health Centers under the Ministry of Health and Prevention, and Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City under SEHA in Abu Dhabi
These teaching hospitals offer general and speciality services to the community in and around the Emirate in which it is located and train the MBBS students, especially during clerkship years and internships.
The Gulf Medical University and its Healthcare Division are owned by the Thumbay Group, which is unique to GMU. The establishment of the “Gulf Medical University Academic Health System” has allowed the integration of GMU’s triple mission of health professions education, research and clinical care at all levels.
