Thumbay Hospital
Gulf Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (now rebranded as Thumbay Hospital, Ajman), the first teaching hospital established in the private sector in UAE was started in October 2002 by the Thumbay Group, U.A.E and is the nodal center for clinical training of medical students especially in their clerkship years. The Hospital is recognized by the Ministry of Health and Prevention as a Teaching Hospital and is approved also for internship training of GMU graduates.
With its unique approach to healthcare, bringing together the best professional expertise and infrastructure, the hospital constantly strives to fulfill its motto of “Healing through knowledge and wisdom”. Being a multispecialty hospital, it houses all the major departments and ancillary support services departments required for clinical training.
Spread over a sprawling campus, the hospital is easily accessible and is located on the arterial highway of the Northern Emirates in Ajman just beyond Sharjah. GMC Hospital, Ajman(now rebranded as Thumbay Hospital, Ajman) was the first private hospital in the Emirate of Ajman to be JCI accredited.
