OVERVIEW
The College of Dentistry at Gulf Medical University has been providing high-quality dental education since its establishment in 2008. The institutions faculty and staff are devoted to academia, professional development, research, and community service, and offer diverse programs to support students in achieving academic excellence.
The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program is fully accredited by the Ministry of Education, UAE, and holds international accreditation from the Australian Dental Council. The program competencies are aligned with the competency framework of UAE graduates and inspired by the Australian professional competencies of newly qualified dental practitioners.
DEAN'S MESSAGE
I am delighted to welcome you to the College of Dentistry at Gulf Medical University. The college has been established in 2008. It offers an undergraduate competency based dental program Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), one-year dental internship program and two postgraduate master programs in periodontology and endodontics. The BDS program has been granted a full accreditation in 2018 by the Ministry of Education at UAE.
The College of Dentistry’s Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program is the first undergraduate dental program in the UAE to receive international accreditation from the Australian Dental Council (ADC), awarded in January 2024.
