Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Acting Dean, College of DentistryWith over twenty-eight years of experience in higher education, Prof. Tamer has established a comprehensive academic and administrative career in dental education. He obtained his Master and Doctoral degrees in OMFS from Suez Canal University, Egypt. Moreover, he received an Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment (IQA) Certificate – (MKLC – United Kingdom).

I am delighted to welcome you to the College of Dentistry at Gulf Medical University. Established in 2008, the College has since developed into a center of excellence in education, research, and healthcare services.
The College offers a distinguished competency-based Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, a program that has granted an accreditation by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in UAE along with an international accreditation from the Australian Dental Council.
Our comprehensive range of accredited academic and training programs includes two Master/ Residency programs in Orthodontics, and Endodontics, and a master’s degree in Periodontics. Additionally, the College offers a one-year internship program, a clinical certificate in dental implantology, and a two-years Dental Assistants Diploma.
Students` enrolled in the programs benefit from the extensive clinical training in a state-of-the-art specialized dental hospital. The College`s student-centred philosophy and approach are supported by experienced faculty who foster critical thinking, leadership, and clinical competence.
The College has robust connections with international academic institutions, industrial and community partners that ensure dynamic exposure of the students to the advancements in dentistry.
