We are proud to share the recent success of Jamila Abdullahi, a student in the Master of Science in Drug Discovery and Development (MDD) program at Gulf Medical University, who has co-authored a high-impact research article published in Pharmaceutics (Q1, Impact Factor: 4.9).

The article, titled “Preparation and Evaluation of Tadalafil-Loaded Nanoemulgel for Transdermal Delivery in Cold-Induced Vasoconstriction: A Potential Therapy for Raynaud’s Phenomenon,” is the result of Jamila’s MDD thesis work under the supervision of Dr. Shery Jacob. The study explores an innovative transdermal delivery system for tadalafil, aiming to offer a novel therapeutic approach for managing Raynaud’s phenomenon.
This research exemplifies the translational focus of the MDD program, bridging laboratory science and clinical relevance. It was conducted in collaboration with key academic and research partners, reflecting the interdisciplinary and collaborative ethos of the program.
We extend our warmest congratulations to Jamila and Dr. Shery for this achievement and look forward to seeing more impactful contributions from our students and faculty.
