The College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University has made an extraordinary achievement at the Second International Conference for Pharmacy Students held at the University of Sharjah, proudly accomplishing NINE impressive awards across multiple categories—testament to the college’s excellence in innovation, research, clinical skills, and community engagement.

Among the awards: Ola Ismail receiveded Third Place for “Best Innovative Project” with her groundbreaking novel project under the guidance of Dr. Diana Malaeb. Furthermore, Nahlah Faisal, Manaal Abdullahi, Nimotullahi Abdul-rasheedAkolade, and Haeyoun Chung—secured Second Place for “Innovative Poster”, supervised by Dr. Shery Jacob. Ruth Alex demonstrated outstanding clinical skills by winning Third Place in the “Clinical Pharmacy Competition”.In the “Team-Based Competition”, the GMU team comprising Alya Arasteh, Danya Labash, Nikita Binu, Sumaiya Mohsin, and Mohammed Gazgeshowed their clinical and pharmaceutical knowledge and skills, guided by Dr. Diana Malaeb and Dr. Ouweini achieving the Second Place.
As for the Poster Competition, the Master in Clinical Pharmacy candidate May Gamal Mohamed achieved Second Place for “Best Postgraduate Informative Poster” under the supervision of Dr. Diana Malaeb. Also, First Place for “Best Poster Presentation” was brilliantly captured by Ruqaiya Sahrish, Alya Ali Arasteh, and Danya Labash, under the expert mentorship of Dr. Naglaa.
The Community Pharmacy Counseling Competition titled “Pharma Influencers Challenge”, focused on weight loss counseling, performed by the dynamic team of Shahd Tarek, Menna Ahmed, Rama Bilal, and Sarah Elkhawaga win Second Place, under the dedicated mentorship of Dr. Diana Malaeb. And Alla Laila earned Third Place for “Best Oral Presentation”, supervised by Dr. Juny, showcasing eloquence and depth in academic delivery.
Lastly, Nikita Sunil Binu added to the celebration with a victory in the Kahoot Quiz Competition, achieved Third Place proving that knowledge and speed go hand in hand.
