Giving Caravan for Community Service 2024

The Red Crescent Society, Ajman’s initiative, “Giving Caravan for Community Service 2024,” was successfully commemorated from November 28 to December 2, 2024, at Al Safiya Park, Ajman. The event was organized to promote community welfare and engage the local Emirati population through interactive and educational activities. The event witnessed active participation from third-year and fourth-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students, along with faculty support, making it a resounding success.  The event aimed to foster awareness about health and safety practices and empower the community to respond effectively during medical emergencies. Additionally, the initiative sought to strengthen community bonds by encouraging interaction between healthcare professionals and the public.

A variety of activities were organized to engage visitors and impart valuable life-saving skills. The following sessions were conducted at the Gulf Medical University (GMU) stall: Interactive Games, Demonstration of the Recovery Position, Types of Bandaging, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training. The event attracted over 150 visitors to the GMU stall over the five days. The participants included families, students, and individuals from various walks of life. The interactive format of the sessions ensured active engagement, and the feedback received was overwhelmingly positive. Many participants expressed their appreciation for the hands-on training and emphasized the value of the skills they had acquired.

We look forward to participating in similar initiatives in the future to continue serving and empowering the community.
