The College of Nursing organized the Faculty Development Workshop on November 28, 2024, with Mr. Suraj K Sebastian as the keynote speaker. The workshop focused on Zoom Workplace.

The primary objectives of this workshop was to guide the use of advanced Zoom features for online classes, ensure efficient use of the Zoom Workspace for reserving lecture halls, leverage check-in/check-out tools for effective classroom management, and effectively use whiteboards, clips, and schedules.

The Zoom application can be effectively utilized to book lecture halls and streamline the scheduling process. Faculty members can access the Zoom Workspace to reserve lecture halls by selecting the desired time slot and room. This ensures efficient allocation and prevents scheduling conflicts. Additionally, integrated features like automated reminders and notifications can enhance organization and improve overall classroom management.

The Zoom application’s scheduling platform is an efficient tool for organizing mentorship meetings with mentees. Mentors can set up recurring or one-time meetings by selecting suitable time slots and sharing meeting links directly with mentees. The platform’s calendar integration and notification features ensures timely reminders for all participants.

The faculty development workshop on Zoom Workplace, conducted by Mr. Suraj K Sebastian, was a highly informative and an engaging session. The faculty members from the College of Nursing greatly benefited from the comprehensive insights and practical applications shared during the workshop. The session’s interactive style and clear explanations were well-received, helping participants feel confident in using these tools.
