A CV writing session was conducted online on 7th November 2024, led by Mr. Manu Pelayo, with 232 students and 13 faculty members participating. The session was tailored for BSN, RN-BSN, and Master’s in nursing students to help them craft professional CVs highlighting their education, clinical experience, certifications, and skills. Key topics included understanding CV components, tailoring CVs for various healthcare roles, and presenting academic and professional achievements effectively. Interactive examples and real-time feedback enabled participants to refine their CVs during the session.
Students actively engaged in discussions, asking about the inclusion of CGPA, linking e-portfolios, addressing career gaps, and the best time to start building their CVs. The session was highly effective in enhancing students’ confidence and readiness for career advancement. It highlighted the importance of structured CVs in professional growth, setting a foundation for future sessions on related topics such as interview preparation.
