Strengthening collaboration between GMU College of Pharmacy and MPC Healthcare Group

On May 08, 2024, experts from GMU College of Pharmacy and MPC Healthcare Group met to discuss strategic improvements in their long-standing collaboration. The discussions aimed to enhance the quality of students’ training in pharmacies and expand the professional services offered by pharmacies, capitalizing on the potential of Academic-Practice collaboration to add value to pharmacy education and practice.

GMU College of Pharmacy and MPC Healthcare Group were already effectively collaborating on multiple fronts. Strengthening this collaboration to new fronts opens opportunities for the professional development of students as pharmacists and beyond to make significant contributions to society.

Prof. Muhammad Al-Shorbagy, Dean of GMU College of Pharmacy, and Dr. Samir Mahmoud, Director of the Patient & Customer Division at MPC Healthcare, approved new collaborative projects in this fruitful partnership.

The College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University is committed to the advancement of the pharmacy profession by joining hands with practicing sites to develop the scope of the profession both in the UAE and regionally. This aims to provide professional development opportunities to existing professionals and create exceptional experiential training experiences for the students.
