World Diabetes Day is celebrated around the World on 14th November 2023, to create awareness about the disease.
College of Nursing students and faculty participated in the event organized by GMU as an Interprofessional activity. Students from various colleges e.g. College of Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Health Sciences participated in setting up stations and booths to bring awareness.
Ms. Sneha Samuel, a 3rd-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) student, collaborated with peers from the College of Medicine to conduct a survey on risk assessment. They actively encouraged participants to take part in the survey, aiming to gather insights into their potential risk of developing diabetes.

Mr. Ammar Abdelaziz Ali, another (BSN) student from 3rd year, assisted in monitoring the blood sugar levels of the participants. Additionally, he provided education to the participants about the standard range of blood sugar levels and the significance of these levels.
