The College of pharmacy organized a post conference workshop attended by academicians for all the Colleges of Pharmacy in the UAE. The workshop aimed at exploring ways to assess the “difficult to assess” competencies like self-awareness, entrepreneurship and innovation, professionalism and leadership. The overall aim of the exercise was to put the UAE competency framework for pharmacy programs into action by those who will use it. Another aim was to facilitate collaboration between faculty members across all colleges in the country to continue to work together and share best practices in assessment. The expected outcome is to improve the pharmacy programs in the country and to graduate more competent pharmacists to serve their patients wherever they are.
