Influenza vaccination training has been offered by the GMU College of Pharmacy to pharmacists, who had no similar training in their pharmacy degree. Completion of continuing education hours might not guarantee the achievement of new competencies. The study found that it is feasible and perhaps essential to determine a formal pass score for the continuing education assessment of pharmacists on their vaccination abilities.

Unique features of the paper:
- Represents a step on the way to pharmacists providing a vaccination service in UAE (impact on the profession).
- Continuation of the work of one of our MCP students (Amal) who is a coauthor.
- Collaboration with a colleagues from Washington State University.
