Embracing the value of IPE around the world- particularly in GMU for its impact on learning and health systems. The key elements of IPE that emerge are Interprofessional teamwork and collaborative practice.
Keeping in mind the essence of IPE learning, next webinar was organized in managing patients with pneumonia. The webinar was a cumulative demonstration among Gulf Medical University / Thumbay University Hospital professionals from Nursing,Medical,Pharmacy, Dental, Physiotherapy and Healthcare Management & Economics professionals. IPE provided a practical framework for learning and clinical practice that has a singular focus on the patient’s needs related to Pneumonia. Over 100 students and professional Healthcare providers from many organizations in the UAE had attended this webinar. With special emphasis for the students, they develop the ability to share knowledge and skills collaboratively. The students also gained aninsight about interprofessional teamwork and research.
