Dr. Remya Pillai is currently an Assistant Professor of Paediatric Nursing at the College of Nursing, Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman, UAE, where she has been a faculty member since 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2008), a Master of Science in Paediatric Nursing (2012), and a PhD in Paediatric Nursing (2023).

With over 12 years of teaching experience in the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Remya is a dedicated academic and clinical educator. She holds an active MOHAP-RN license and is a member of the Society of Paediatric Nurses and the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA). She is actively involved in clinical supervision and training of nursing students across hospitals and health centres in the UAE.

Dr. Remya has served as a semester coordinator and mentor for multiple batches of students, contributing significantly to academic coordination and learner development. She also plays a vital role in organizing and facilitating Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) programs and professional development workshops both within and outside her institution.

Her areas of interest include behavioural challenges in school-aged children, non-pharmacological methods of pain management in children, enhancing teaching-learning strategies for nursing students, and using e-portfolios for clinical competency assessment. Her professional journey is marked by a deep commitment to paediatric nursing, evidence-based education, and the continuous advancement of nursing practice.
