Dr. Rania obtained her Ph.D. in cell biology in 2004 from Yale University, USA. She is serving as an Associate Professor in Cell Biology and is a senior researcher at the Thumbay Research Institute for Precision Medicine (TRIPM) at Gulf Medical University since 2018. She has conducted research at Yale University, at the Curie Institute in Paris, at the University of Sharjah, UAE and most recently at the Institute for Stem Cell Biology in Bangalore, India. She has over 10 years of experience in teaching courses in cancer cell biology, research methodology and biochemistry and over 15 years of experience in research. Her research experience is focused on understanding the cellular and molecular basis of diseases with a current focus on the effects of the microenvironment on lung and breast cancer.
