Dr. Pallav Sengupta is an Assistant Professor in Physiology in the College of Medicine, at the Gulf Medical University in the United Arab Emirates. He is a former Associate Professor and Head of Services (Research) in the Faculty of Medicine, Biosciences and Nursing, MAHSA University, Malaysia and former Head of Physiology Unit, Faculty of Medicine, Lincoln University College, Malaysia. Dr. Sengupta has published over 200 research articles and book chapters, with his current Scopus h-index being 32 and Google Scholar h-index 42, with about 10000 citations. His main research interests include Reproductive Endocrinology, Reproductive Medicine, and Infertility. Dr. Sengupta has earned his Ph.D. in Physiology with specialization in Reproductive Endocrinology from the University of Calcutta, India and also pursued Research Internship in Reproductive Medicine (Andrology) and Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) from the American Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM), Cleveland Clinic, USA. Dr. Sengupta has been ranked among the Top 2% Scientists in the World by Stanford University, USA, for three years in a row, 2020, 2021, and 2022. He has achieved great recognition in Malaysia being ranked 2nd among the Infertility Research Experts (also in the sub-specialty of Male Infertility) in Malaysia, consecutively in 2020, 2021 and 2022, by the ExpertScape. His contribution to MAHSA University, Malaysia, has had him procure immense respect and the ‘Highest Publication Awards’ in 2019 and 2021.
