Dr. Juny Sebastian currently serves as the Acting Chair and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at the College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University (GMU), Ajman, UAE. She played a pivotal role in the development of GMU’s Diploma in Pharmacy Technician (DPT) program and currently serves as its Program Director. With over 15 years of teaching experience across undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy programs in India and the UAE, she is a dedicated academician and researcher.
Dr. Sebastian holds a PhD in Vaccinology and is an active researcher specializing in vaccination programs and the practice of pharmacy across diverse healthcare settings. Her passion for pediatric pharmacy practice and vaccine research led her to work as a coordinator for Multi-Country Collaborative Vaccine Safety Studies for the World Health Organization (WHO) and participate in several global clinical trials for medicines and vaccines.
Dr. Sebastian has an extensive research portfolio, with over 70 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 28 scientific presentations at national and international conferences, and contributions to textbook chapters. Additionally, she has delivered more than 60 invited talks at scientific seminars and conferences. Her scholarly achievements have been recognized with multiple travel grants and scholarships from national and international agencies, further solidifying her impact in the field of pharmacy and vaccinology.
