Valeria (Val) Galemba and Allison Gallagher, PharmD candidates from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), completed their one-month-long international clinical rotation at Gulf Medical University’s affiliated and collaborating healthcare facilities. This was their final rotation before graduation. The students were able to appreciate advances in pharmacy practice in the UAE and the welcoming culture marked by high hospitality. The multicultural society and healthcare workforce in the UAE demonstrate its strength in cultural competence.
