On 25 October 2018, the College of Pharmacy organised an interactive ‘Coffee & Cake’ event to confer the Dean’s List for meritorious students for the academic year 2017-18.
In this gathering, attended by the students and Faculty from College of Pharmacy, Dean Prof. Sherief Khalifa addressed the participants and mentioned on appointing a Student affairs coordinator for the College of Pharmacy, updated the progress on Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) certification process for the PharmD program, and highlighted various achievements by the College during the past one year.
The event was then followed by an ‘experience sharing session’ where the senior students shared their experiences on learning methods, time management strategies, prioritization of tasks, overcoming barriers in learning and importance of staying focused as well as motivated.
Following this, the Dean conferred 16 meritorious students from Cohorts 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017chosen for ‘Dean’s List’ and distributed their certificates of appreciation.
The faculty and students present, celebrated the event by ‘cutting the cake’ and engaged with informal discussion, all with the objective of motivating and encouraging student learning.
