On November 28, 2018, GMU Students participated in the 18th Annual Inter College Environmental Public Speaking Competition, hosted in Dubai Knowledge Park by the Emirates Environmental Group. Of the Nine GMU students who competed, three were from the College of Pharmacy: Fatiha Hammed, Abdul Jalal Salisu and Yasser Zakari Ali. The students were presented with Certificates of Appreciation upon successfully completing their presentations.
Commenting on the experience the students said: ‘Attending the environmental public speaking competition was an opportunity to reflect on the importance of agriculture to the environment and the detrimental environmental consequences of war. It was also a chance to interact with and learn from fellow students from various universities across the Gulf region.’
