Senior PharmD student, Ms. Mahya Haji Mahmoudi participated in the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) workshop on November 9, 2017 at Millennium Hotel Dubai.
The program had three activities; Activity 1: Determine the cause, impact and prevention of environmental disaster around the world; Activity 2: All people present had to stand in circle holding the hands of others and transfer the ‘Hele Hop’ without leaving the hands, sensitizing the need for togetherness in promoting environment; Activity 3: Debate between groups on topic ‘environment and technology’. In this debate, the group represented by Ms. Mahya won the debate.
Ms. Mahya commented “This was an enriching workshop and amazing experience any student would gain. This workshop was about the environment, approaches toward a healthy and conserved planet. I learned more about the environment and its crisis around the world and how these crises affect ecosystem (including human). I pledge to do anything to help in the development of a sustainable environment”.
Ms. Mahya thanked College of Pharmacy for giving the chance to participate in this workshop.
