Final year PharmD student Fatiha Hammed attended the 3-day American University in Dubai Model United Nations (AUDMUN 2018) conference hosted by the American University in Dubai (AUD) during 1-3 November 2018. During the conference, Ms. Fatiha competed as a delegate of Switzerland in the Historical Crisis Committee and was awarded ‘The Best Delegate’ for displaying exemplary debating and oratory skills.
Commenting on the experience she said: “Attending the 2018 Model United Nations (MUN) Conference has reaffirmed my belief in the importance of diplomacy and international relations. Winning the best delegate award at my first MUN conference was unexpected but exhilarating”.

This award is an indication that GMU PharmD students have developed special skills in communication, debating and researching specific topics. All are essential attributes to a successful pharmacist.
