Dr. Reema Alhosani commented on the need of Sports Pharmacists in the UAE; “Pharmacists, with their extensive knowledge of pharmacology, their role in patient counseling, and their unique position in the community, have the potential to play a pivotal role in combating doping in sports. They can provide athletes with expert guidance on the use of medications in sports, including banned substances and anti-doping regulations, offering substantial support to athletes. Furthermore, pharmacists can contribute to the anti-doping movement by helping prevent inadvertent use of prohibited substances and by promoting awareness and education.”

Vice Chancellor for Quality & Institutional Effectiveness and Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Sherief Khalifa commented: “Our partnership with national and international experts in the field is helping in development of Sports Pharmacy as a specialization in the country”.
