
The College of Pharmacy had an active participation at Dubai International Pharmaceuticals & Technologies Conference & Exhibition (DUPHAT), held in Dubai, during February 26 – 28, 2019.

Nourhan Khaled and Hisham Mohamed (Semester VIII PharmD students) received the Best Poster Award for their research titled ‘Brain Targeting of Fluconazole Nanovesicles for Treatment of Cryptococcal Meningitis’ supervised by Assoc Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Elsayed and Dr. Samiullah Shabbir, GMU College of Pharmacy.

Mariam Aboulila, the final year PharmD student currently undergoing her Advance Pharmacy Practice Experience bagged ‘Three-month internship opportunity in Eli Lilly (in 2019)’.

Rukayya Musa Abdullahi and Runyararo Makona (Semester VIII PharmD students), both bagged separate awards during the ‘Student Pharmacist Patient counseling’ competition.
Dalia Al-Saeedy, the Semester VIII PharmD student was invited to write a letter to the editor of Research in Social and Administrative Pharmacy journal based on her oral presentation titled: Visibility of Evidence Based Pharmacy on PubMed – Identity crisis.
Dean Khalifa commented: We are very proud of our students as we watch them grow to become capable pharmacy practitioners, scholars and innovators. We can see how they will become change agents for the pharmacy profession.
