The Ministry of Education (MOE) is in the process of compiling a national report to assess the existing status of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TEVT) in the UAE, as part of its transformative initiatives. This project’s objective was to formulate a comprehensive national strategic plan for the forthcoming five years, in collaboration with relevant institutions across the United Arab Emirates. The ultimate goal is to establish a sustainable and diversified knowledge-based economy.

To achieve this plan, the MOE engaged the expertise of Baker Dearing Trust, an educational trust based in the United Kingdom, to collaborate with the MOE in developing a five-year roadmap.

Dr. Juny and Dr. Shabaz contributed to the creation of a 5-year roadmap of the TVET system in the UAE by sharing their experiences with National Qualifications Center (NQC) for the development of the Diploma in Pharmacy Technician program which is recognized by the National Qualifications Center (NQC) through the Vocational Education and Training Awards Council (VETAC) recently.
