On March 8th, 2022 Abbott Pharmaceuticals® organized a multidisciplinary conference at Le Meridien Hotel in Dubai, UAE. This conference covered the following topics: mental health, pain management, lifestyle and supplements in daily routines, and diarrhea/constipation. The conference hosted 4 distinguished experts, 2 pharmacists, 1 nutritionist/dietician and 1 physician. It was attended by 350+ healthcare professionals practicing in different clinical settings across UAE.
Under the title: Pain Management: A Patient-Centric Approach, Dr. Ahmad El Ouweini, Clinical Lecturer, College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University & Clinical Preceptor/Pharmacist, Thumbay University Hospital, delivered a presentation where he highlighted the optimal approach to patients with acute and chronic pain, guidelines-directed place of NSAIDs in our daily practice, Safety and efficacy of NSAIDs use in COVID-19 patients, and the Clinical pearls for pharmacists to manage NSAIDs and monitor their safety and efficacy.
