GMU Preceptors Present in AMCP 2020 Virtual Conference

On April, 26 2020,  GMU PharmD Alumni and current APPE Preceptors Dr. Jumana Al- Salloum and Dr. Fithawit Bahran published the abstract titled “Evaluation of Practice in Acute Coronary Syndrome Management: A Conceptual Framework” in the Journal of Managed Care & Speciality Pharmacy (JMCP) Meeting Abstract supplements of 2020.

The abstract highlights the need for a framework in managing Acute Coronary Syndrome patients aiming at narrowing gaps in prolonged hospitalization with individualized and documented risk stratification strategies, the need for individualization of therapies hence avoidance of polypharmacy, and adequate patient education on disease and the planned management.

The abstract was planned to be presented in this year’s Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) 2020 conference in Houston, Texas. Due to the current world’s pandemic, the conference was closed. The abstract was presented virtually on April 20- 24th and the poster is available in the AMCP Portal (Number: I2 Category: I00-I99 Diseases of the circulatory system).
