As part of the GMU student orientation,College of Pharmacy welcomed its 4th Cohort of Master in Clinical Pharmacy students on September 18, 2021.
The orientation included a welcome address by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, followed by introductions by students, faculty, and preceptors. Other aspects of the orientation included the study plan, graduation requirements, clinical rotations, learning resources and student support services by the student happiness center. A tour of the facilities including GMU’s simulation center and Thumbay University hospital ended with a get together between students, faculty and preceptors over coffee and cake.
Vice Chancellor for Quality & Global Engagement&Dean, College of Pharmacy Prof. Sherief Khalifa commented:“It is a great pleasure to welcome our 4th cohort of students in the Master in Clinical Pharmacy program. They have an exciting journey ahead of them, specially with our state-of-the-art facilities and unmatched clinical rotations with highly qualified preceptors and faculty in charge. The students are also excited because they will engage in high quality pharmacy practice research that will be published in Scopus-indexed journals. We are proudly accomplishing our educational and professional mission in advancing pharmacy education and practice in UAE.”
