GMU COP Participates in A Student-Oriented Webinar on: Staying Productive During Ramadan

On April 19, 2022, the Student Affairs department at Gulf Medical University hosted a webinar titled “Staying Productive During Ramadan”. The webinar was moderated by 3rd Year PharmD student Mohammed Ziad, and featured Dr. Ahmad El Ouweini, Clinical lecturer at the College of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacist/Preceptor at TUH, and Dr. Soma Ibrahim from the College of Nursing. During the webinar, Dr. Ahmad and Dr. Soma discussed balancing busy work lives whilst keeping with the spirit of this holy month to spend time with family, as well as fulfilling their time in a spiritual sense. The faculty also addressed the effects of fasting on concentration and how that relates to students and their productivity. At the end, Dr. Soma & Dr. Ahmad provided the students with some tips and tricks that are sure to benefit any student, relating to productivity, time optimization, and avoiding procrastination. The session was truly an eye opening & insightful experience that benefit students on many levels on all years.
