GMU College of Pharmacy Students Shine at the 30th Dubai International Pharmaceuticals & Technologies Conference & Exhibition – DUPHAT and Win Three Awards

The College of Pharmacy (CoP) at Gulf Medical University actively participated in the 30th edition of the Dubai International Pharmaceuticals & Technologies Conference & Exhibition (DUPHAT), held between 7-9 January 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Center, United Arab Emirates.

PharmD students, under the supervision of faculty members, showcased their research projects as part of the Scholarly Pathway series through both poster and oral presentations. The students’ research spanned diverse fields, including pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, biotechnology, drug synthesis, and pharmacy practice, reflecting the broad scope and innovative approach of the CoP’s academic and research initiatives.

A total of 14 groups of students presented their work, three of which were recognized for their outstanding contributions in various categories:

Project 1:

  • Title of the Award: 3rd Best Outstanding Pharmacy Poster
  • Title of the Project: Study of Venlafaxine Effects on Apoptosis, Autophagy, and Cell Growth Biomarkers
