On January 14, 2020, Dean Sherief Khalifa visited College of Pharmacy at Ain Shams University, in Egypt and discussed areas of collaboration to serve the interest of both institutions. Meetings included Vice President for Research & Graduate Studies, Dr. Abdelnasser Singab, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Maha Farouk, Vice Deans of the College and several faculty members.
Areas of focus include sharing experiences in relation to quality improvement, ACPE certification, research collaboration and student exchange in the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) component of the curriculum.
Dean Khalifa commented: We are excited about this collaboration and we are honored to be working with one of the top universities in Egypt. We can clearly see a positive impact ahead that will influence pharmacy education, research and practice for the countries of both institutions.
