GMU College of Pharmacy Contributes to the 1st Middle East Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy Forum: Dr. Seeba Zachariah

On October 14, 2023, Dr. Seeba Zachariah participated in the first Middle East Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy Forum at Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, Dubai.

Dr. Seeba is Clinical Assistant Professor, College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University. She is also double board certified in Pharmacotherapy and Cardiology.

Dr. Seeba was one of the organizing committee members. Her scientific contributions to the forum include:

  • Moderator for Pharmacotherapy Services at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi by Dr. Antoine Cherfan.
  • Panelist for Cardiovascular Disease Guideline Directed Medical Therapy in the Middle East: A Call for Action.
  • Speaker on debate of Colchicine or no colchicine for all post cardiac surgery patients with Dr. Nibal Chamoun, ​​​Lebanese American University (LAU) School of Pharmacy.
  • Speaker on debate of Amiodarone vs Lidocaine for VT/VF with Dr. Said Nabil​, PharmD from United Arab Emirates University.

Additionally, 25 PharmD and Master of Clinical Pharmacy students from GMU attended the conference to enhance their cardiovascular pharmacotherapy expertise.
