On June 08, 2021, Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) students of GMU College of Pharmacy visited Fakeeh University Hospital (FUH) with Prof. Sherief Khalifa and Dr. Dixon Thomas.

The tour of facilities was led by the FUH Pharmacy Director Dr. Mohamed Magoury and Clinical Pharmacist Dr. Waqar Ahmed. It included pharmacy informatics, automation, robotics, and clinical pharmacy.

GMU APPE students were impressed with the state-of-the-art facilities at FUH and the transformation that is happening in pharmacy practice in the FUH model.

Vice Chancellor for Quality and Global Engagement and Dean College of Pharmacy Prof. Sherief Khalifa commented: “It was a great opportunity to meet the visionary and dynamic leadership at FUH. The progressive pharmacy practice model in FUH will for sure be an excellent opportunity for the training of the future pharmacists of UAE. We look forward to a strong and fruitful partnership with FUH”.
