On September 8, 2021, Dr. Sherief Khalifa, Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Vice Chancellor for Quality & Global Engagement at Gulf Medical University gave a presentation on: “The Future of Pharmacy Education in the Middle East”.

The presentation focused on the changes needed in the current educational system to provide pharmacy graduates capable of serving their communities and playing a much needed role in health care in the countries of the Middle East region. The role of academicians, pharmacy practitioners and regulators in enhancing pharmacy education was emphasized.
Dr. Khalifa commented: “It was an honor to be invited to present regionally in this highly regarded international forum. It is indeed a great opportunity for GCC countries and others in the region to work together towards a very important cause: Enhancing the quality of the pharmacy graduate through advancing and revolutionizing pharmacy education”.
