On Friday, February 28th, 2025, the College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University hosted a career counseling session titled “Journey of a Scholar.” Featuring Dr. Jumana Al Salloum, a PhD Candidate at Universiti Sains Malaysia, a Clinical Tutor for postgraduate pharmacy degrees at the University of Sharjah, and an Adjunct ICU Clinical Pharmacist at University Hospital, Sharjah.
Dr. Jumana shared her extensive knowledge and experience, offering invaluable insights into the process of applying for and embarking on a PhD in clinical pharmacy. She guided attendees through key aspects of the journey, including selecting the right program, application strategies, choosing a university and supervisor, and overcoming the challenges of doctoral studies.
The session offered students and alumni practical guidance for their academic and professional pursuits.
