On May 15, 2019, Dr. Ahmed Al-Abd associate professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, College of Pharmacy, Gulf Medical University (GMU) delivered an invited presentation at Mohamed Bin Rashid University (MBRU), Dubai Medical City, Dubai, UAE. His presentation was titled: “Pharmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic Interaction within Solid Tumor Micromilieu as an integral part of Anticancer Drug Discovery” .
After the presentation, Dr. Al-Abd engaged in discussions with several faculty from the College of Medicine who showed interest in collaborative research with Gulf Medical University, College of Pharmacy. Dr. Al-Abd’s visit to MBRU is expected to lead to joint research grant applications. Professor Thomas Adrian, MBRU – College of medicine will be visiting GMU soon to further discuss and develop joint research projects between our respective colleges and institutions.
