Convocation Ceremony for the PharmD Class of 2017

PharmD candidates of the class of 2017 were conferred their Doctoral degrees during the 14th  convocation ceremony of the Gulf Medical University (GMU) held on 22nd  November 2017. During this auspicious ceremony, 19 candidates received their degrees and became part of the responsible healthcare team. This year’s graduation was a special matter of pride for being the 20th  year of establishment of the Gulf Medical University (GMU).

The graduates pledged the Oath and imbibed their social responsibility in alleviating patient suffering and improving population health.

The merit awards were received by Dr.Saba Naeem, Dr.Zara Anwar and Dr. Rina Rosalia for their excellence in academic performances throughout their studies.

One of the PharmD graduates Dr. Maen Rashed spoke on behalf of the entire graduating class of Gulf Medical University and delivered the students’ speech. He highlighted the quality of education received at GMU and appreciated the efforts taken by the faculty members and administration in providing an outstanding education. The students and parents were moved by the whole event, the inspiring speeches and the joy of completing an important phase in life and career.

College of Pharmacy faculty members were proud to see another cohort of students make it to graduation and get ready to join the workforce of professional pharmacists in UAE.
