The College of Pharmacy, represented by Dr. Diana Malaeb, participated in the First Scientific Conference on Health and Medical Research in the UAE. The conference was organized by the National Centre for Health Research (NCHR), a division of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, and took place at Inter-Continental Hotel Dubai, Festival City, from December 5-6, 2022.

The conference hosted a collection of keynote speeches, plenary lectures, and poster sessions mostly revolving around the theme of scientific research. The conference aimed to develop national capacities in health and medical research, create a suitable framework for scientific research and promote the skills and competencies of national cadres.
Attendees from all backgrounds mainly academics and researchers from different public and private institutions participated in the conference and shared their experience through either presentations or posters. The conference focused on different topics as: Neurosciences and Mental Health, Women and Child Health, Environmental, Cardiovascular, and other diseases. The congress was a notable venue for exposing attendees to scholars and researchers from around the country, as well as for networking and share of experience.
