College of Pharmacy, GMU participates in the Third Emirates Cardiac Society Heart Failure Conference

On January 24, 2020; Dr. Seeba Zachariah Clinical Lecturer and Ms. Naira Hani, Master in Clinical Pharmacy student of the College of Pharmacy, GMU, participated in the conference. The workshop on “Tips on Heart Failure Medication Titration and Monitoring” had high participation of pharmacists. All sessions were multi-professional Ms. Naira is currently performing her Cardiology rotation at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Emirates Heart Failure Conference (EHFC) has made its mark in the region following the two successful editions in 2017 and 2019 that brought together experts from around the world and provided the highest level of educational experience through state-of-the- art lectures, debates, interactive sessions, workshops and panel discussions. The conferences were rated high in regard to the quality of speakers and the excellence of scientific programs.

Vice Chancellor for Quality and Global Engagement  and Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Sherief appreciated the efforts of Emirates Cardiac Society for its inclusive efforts in promoting collaborative practice models involving clinical pharmacists. In the future, more GMU students will participate in such multi-professional conferences and present their research findings.
