The College of Pharmacy at Gulf Medical University (GMU) earned significant recognition at the Second International Conference for Pharmacy Students (ICPS-II), held on April 8–9, 2025, at the University of Sharjah. Students from GMU’s undergraduate, Doctor of Pharmacy, Postgraduate PharmD, and Master’s programs collectively secured nine prestigious awards across various categories.

Professor Muhammad Al-Shorbagy, Dean of the College of Pharmacy, commended the award-winning students for their exemplary achievements, underscoring the university’s dedication to fostering academic excellence and innovation in pharmacy education.
Themed “Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Pharmacy,” the conference brought together pharmacy students from institutions across the UAE to present cutting-edge research and practice-based projects in areas such as pharmaceutics, pharmacology, drug discovery, and clinical pharmacy. GMU students showcased their work through poster presentations and demonstrated exceptional skill in competitions, including the Patient Counseling and Awareness Video contests.
This achievement reflects the College’s strong emphasis on research, clinical competence, and student development, reinforcing its role as a leader in advancing pharmacy education in the region.
