
Master in Clinical Pharmacy (MCP) students at GMU participated in classes by experts from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in the field of evidence-based and patient-centred practice. MCP program at GMU is offered in collaboration with VCU and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. The following classes were conducted in Semester 1 of the MCP program;
- Crafting a literature search in PubMed by Ms. Rachel Koenig on Oct. 30, 2018
- Level of evidence in clinical research by Dr. Julie Patterson on Nov. 1, 2018
- How to Use Patient-Reported Outcomes to Improve Care by Prof. David Holdford on Nov. 6, 2018
Students reviewed assigned articles and watched videos before each session. The classes were conducted utilizing a distance learning approach and the sessions were live allowing full range of interaction including discussions, questions and answers.
